Born in Istanbul in 2015, Alara Derin Kopar began studying the piano at an early age. Since then, she has continued her musical education with dedication, developing her repertoire and exploring the expressive possibilities of classical music.

Alara is currently a full-time piano student at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Istanbul State Conservatory, where she studies under Prof. Burcu Aktaş Urgun.

She has received numerous awards in national and international piano competitions, including first prizes at the Franz Liszt Center International Piano Competition in Spain,  Ankara International Piano Competition, and  Charleston International Music Competition.

Her achievements also include prizes at Orbetello International Piano Competition, Gülsin Onay Piano Competition, and WPTA international competitions, 4Seasons Vienna International Musician Competition.

Alara has participated in masterclasses and musical studies with distinguished pianists and educators, including Gülsin Onay, Andreas Weber, Jingge Yan, István Székely, and Mikhail Khokhlov.
In 2026, she attended the Mozarteum Summer Academy in Salzburg, where she had the opportunity to further develop her musical understanding through intensive piano studies.

Alara continues to develop her technique, repertoire, and musical interpretation through dedicated study, guided by her curiosity and love for classical music.
